Norway has been ravaged by civil war. The King is dying and his unrecognized son is born in secret. Half the kingdom wants to kill the baby, but two men (Torstein Skevla and Skjervald Skrukka) will defend him to death in a flight that will forever change the country’s history. The child was called Håkon Håkonsen and would be king of Norway. It follows two warriors who, in the early thirteenth century, embark on a perilous journey through the Norwegian mountains to secure the heir to the crown, only two years old.
