Jackson Shea (Kaiwi Lyman-Mersereau) has a brutal past behind him and is now about to pay the price for it. He has received the death penalty for a cold-blooded murder series within the gangster background, but there is still a chance to escape the execution. The psychologist Amanda Tyler (Denise Richards) is to investigate him and find out whether he is really abysmal or is not perhaps the chance to get him back on the right path. She begins to dive deeply into the psyche of the detainee to find the reason for his violent outbreaks. It almost seems as if Shea were acting out of a kind of necessity beside his killing wish. But how hard does a crime have to be to justify the death penalty?
