A young couple buys a beautiful property in Napa Valley, but the seller suddenly decides not to relinquish the property.
The woman was unable to leave her beloved home after selling it. She continues to spy on new tenants and yell at Scott whenever she tries to make changes to the house she now owns.
She invites Charlie to Thanksgiving dinner, where Scott’s best friend Mike Renfro insults Charlie before putting his cigarette on the lawn. The next day, Mike’s luxury car has a burn in the driver’s seat.
She lets Charlie into her house voluntarily. This destroys any mistrust. Even in the grossly disgusting scenes of the attempted rape, Dennis Quaid does not appear convincingly.
